Only use mechanical equipment on floors or working surfaces if the floors or surfaces are strong enough to support the imposed load.

Prevent equipment from running over the edge of floor openings by using curbs or stop-logs.

Mechanical equipment such as cranes and motor vehicles must meet the OHSA requirements specified in Subparts N and O of this part.
